Housing, Community Care and Public Law Litigation

Our Services

We undertake most types of civil litigation and dispute resolution but specialise in housing social care, welfare benefits and public law challenges to central and local government.

We use interpreters when necessary but our lawyers and support staff include fluent speakers in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, French, Lingala, and provide legal services in those languages.

We have particular expertise in:

  • Representing people with mental health problems or who are mentally incapacitated.
  • The rights of migrant workers and their families derived from EU law.
  • Community Care

    We have wide experience of working with sick and disabled people, children, young people and their families to resolve legal issues over:

  • Support to destitute migrant families

    Housing

    We act for homeless people to obtain temporary and permanent housing.

    We act for tenants over:

  • Repairs and compensation
  • Possesion and eviction
  • Rent, housing benefit and service charges
  • Tenancy and leasehold provision

    Welfare Benefits

    Our work includes rights to Disability Living Allowance/Personal Independence Payments, Income Support, Employment and Support Allowance, Incapacity Benefit, Job-Seeker's Allowance and Universal Credit. We represent claimants in disputes with the DWP in judicial review proceedings.
